I would like to send my mom to New Orleans for her birthday gift this year. New Orleans is one of my favorite cities, but I am concerned about her walking a lot.
She would be traveling with another senior friend. Does anyone know about a guided or escorted tour there? I%26#39;d like someone to be there for her at the airport and take care of things from that point on (hotel, tours, etc.) so she can just get the chance to enjoy the city without having to plan or get to places on her own. I%26#39;d appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,
Deb

At one time, there were a number of private tour guides in New Orleans. However, tonight%26#39;s Google search turned up only one. This may not be your cup of tea, but I%26#39;ll provide the link so you can judge for yourself.

Thanks for your response. I know they still have several tours that you can book like this. I think Grey Line has a bunch there, but I was looking for an all inclusive guided/escorted type of trip to New Orleans. I might go with the individual types if I can%26#39;t find anything else, but maybe the city tours. I think that voodoo one might scare her, LOL.
Thanks again,
Deb
Tauck Tours used to offer complete tour packages to a primarily senior crowd. May be worth checking out online. I have no idea if they still exist or service New Orleans.
Here%26#39;s a link to the New Orleans Tourism site. There%26#39;s a link to tour companies here.
