Does anyone know anything about this hotel? Is it a decent place to stay? How far a walk from the Quarter? It seems to have really good rates, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Thanks for any advice.
Queen %26amp; Crescent ??
The place is getting run down and consists of two buildings one of which only has security of a card key entrance and there are no breakfast areas nearby. I%26#39;d pass on this. We%26#39;ve been there three times over the years only due to %26#39;complimentary%26#39; rooms and kept thinking it would get better. It wasn%26#39;t.

Quoting the original poster, ';you get what you pay for'; is often true with New Orleans hotels. If you check the lowest-rated properties on this very site, they are nearly all low-priced. Obviously they aren%26#39;t high value.
Hey Runner ~
An acquaintance stayed there last year. She was very disappointed and said, even taking into consideration the $ saved, it was not worth it. :(

Queen and Crescent is a fine lower priced hotel. The rooms are small but well decorated. It is only 4 blocks from the French Quarter in the center of downtown. Prices in New Orleans vary signifcantly and some better hotels can also have really good prices.
