I am hosting a bachellorette party in New Orleans and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for me. We are all around 28 years old. We were thinking maybe going to Bourbon street just one night and doing something else a bit more low key the other. We arent sure where we are staying yet, so if anyone has any ideas for places to stay or good restaurants i would be greatful! There is going to be about 14 of us. Thanks!

I%26#39;d suggest staying in the Quarter. You will be walking distance to many of the things you want to do. You can have a wild night on Bourbon or a quiet night elsewhere in the Quarter. My favorite hotels are the Royal Sonesta, Omni Royal and the W French Quarter. Depending on when you go, these might be on the higher end of the rate scale. There are lots of good hotels in the Quarter so if you find a rate you like just look it up on here. Bourbon Orleans and Inn on Bourbon are nice and have good locations. For a nice dinner I recommend Mr. B%26#39;s. I really like the food at Muriel%26#39;s and the atmosphere is wonderful but the service can be cold and/or slow in case you are in a hurry. You should hit Pat O%26#39;s courtyard and piano bar at least once. I would say you should try a hand grenade from Tropical Isle too. Also take a walk down to Jean Lafittes Blacksmith shop. Napoleon House is a great spot for lunch or just for a drink. Have a great trip, you chose a great place to have it!

Try sidestep.com %26amp; bookit.com for your best rates. You may decide to try more than one night in the Bourbon St area. The businesses there love having bachellorette parties come in. There will be plenty of time during the day for the low key activity. Definitely stay in the Quarter if possible it makes eveything more accessable. Click my name for past postings on restaurants and hotel suggestions. Most hotels in the area start at the nice range (Holiday Inn French Quarter) and then proceed to the nicer (Prince Conti, St Louis) and nicest (Omni Royal, Royal Sonesta).
I completely forgot about the Carousel Bar at the Monteleone. Good place to go for a drink before or after dinner at Mr B%26#39;s.
