How's the weather been?

Im coming in on thursday for a five night stay and was just wondering how the weathers been. So i know what to expect. I see theres a chance of rain but i also read back that it%26#39;s normally a afternoon shower . Just planning on what to pack wheather it be shorts and a t-shirt or rain ponch.

mid to high 80%26#39;s, some humidity, and the always scattered showers...quick throw over poncho and small umbrella takes care of it..and besides while it rains there are a lot of spots to stop and shop or have a drink while the showers happen.

Oh thank you, that does not sound so bad. Some rain i can deal with no problem just hopeing for a little sunshine.

Don%26#39;t panic by any means but we are keeping an eye on a tropical disturbance off the SE Florida coast right now. Some of the computer models predict it as a Cat 1 hurricane hitting our area in a few days. There are WHOLE BUNCH of ';if'; scenarios here but it%26#39;s worth keeping an eye on it just in case!!!

I sure need to stop traveling in Sept lol last year i got caught in Cabo in hurricane John. LOL oh well that was bigger then a 1 . Hopefully it will break up but onnly time will tell. Thank you for the heads up flying out tomorrow morning still can%26#39;t wait!!

Why bleak? Just be prepared for some rain, which is always good advice in the summer anyway. The tropical system mentioned earlier is still trying to develop but looks more and more like a rain event only.

Our top news station (WWL) now says the storm may impact the area east of New Orleans and we may just have a breezy day tomorrow with little or no rain. Stay tuned.

I%26#39;m travelling to New Orleans (22-29 Sep). Just worried from what I have seen that it will be rain and thunderstorms, rather than sun and heat....

A day with rain and thunderstorms in New Orleans is still a better day than a perfect weather day anywhere else! Just duck into a bar, have a drink and enjoy some music and conversation, or stay out in the rain and get some great pictures.

Tropical weather notwithstanding, our normal rain patterns consist of rain in the afternoon in fairly short, concentrated bursts. We usually don%26#39;t get ';all day rain'; like other cities do.
