The Acadian Festivals are the most interesting to me. Are any of these accessible via public transport from the French Quarter? We won%26#39;t be renting a car.

All of the festivals mentioned are quite a ways out of town. You will need a car.
Festivals Acadiens in Lafayette is very nice and I go every chance I get. (My family is from Lafayette.) It%26#39;s nearly all free, too. Having said that, I%26#39;m not sure I%26#39;d leave New Orleans and spend the 2 hours each way on the interstate unless you%26#39;ve been to NOLA several times.
