Can someone tell me the approx cost of a cab from the NO airport to St. Ann St. in the French Quarter? Thanks.

Airport runs to anywhere in town are a flat rate. In May it was, I think, 29. With the shuttle vans at 13 each way, if you have two people you come out about even,plus much more comfort.

As a tip: WIth airport cab dispatchers, and hotel doormen, tell them you want a Central cab. You don%26#39;t have to take the next one in line. That%26#39;s the main licensed company; clean cars, great professional drivers. Most other cabs are independent, owned by the driver , ';Sam%26#39;s Can Co.'; and in town they may try to zig zag all over and run up the meter. One trip I stayed at Canal Place, and started each morning at Jackson Square, a simple 5 buck ride down Decatur St. A couple drivers tried to run me around up to Dauphine and even Rampart, and back down! After 12 years I know the streets. If you don%26#39;t , download and print a map of the Quarter and memorize it -- aren%26#39;t too many streets. Central Cabs won%26#39;t try those stunts.
