It is our four year anniversary and I am looking for a good deal on a two night stay near Bourbon. Not really finding anything. Does anyone have any ideas?
Where to stay cheap this weekend?
It%26#39;s October and there%26#39;s a convention in town. I%26#39;m at a loss for ';cheap'; unless you use Priceline. Even then, ALWAYS bid on a four star hotel.
Where to stay cheap this weekend?
Not really cheap, but Country inn and suites is a few blocks from the FQ across Canal. It is $170 a night, but considering it is so late booking, that may be worth looking into.We loved it in June.
La Quinta Inn %26amp; Suites Downtown has a Last Minute Deal, ($69 per night) (I just checked for you) on line...go to www.lq.com. The code is LMD. I just stayed there a few weeks ago, it was a great value, excellent location, %26amp; spotlessly clean. The staff was excellent too. It%26#39;s 2 very short blocks from the French quarter on Camp St. (I did post a review).
Drury also has rates this weekend for $66 to $69 per night, (Again I just checked their web site www.druryhotels.com. They are located on Poydras. I%26#39;d say a 1 minute walk from the French Quarter.
Both of the above locations are in the Top 20 hotels on TripAdvisor.
Good luck and have fun. Please let us know what you decided..post a trip report!
MIs post..sorry.....Drury is a 10 minute walk from the French Quarter.
Try bookit.com. Rooms are available there at O%26#39;Keef Plaza for $70 a night. I think rooms are available at the Best Western on Rampart for about the same and at the Barrone Plaza for $78. Also try sidestep.com and nextag.com. O%26#39;Keef is a newly renovated budget hotel that is about 6 blocks from Bourbon. Also you want to take a gamble and try the walk-in rates and same day rate. 9 times out of 10 this works for me you just have to call around a bit. If they have rooms available you can get them anywhere from $40 to $90 a night.
For $170 a night you can get rooms at several places in the Quarter at the places I mentioned (and some there for as low as $129).
